21. Buying a mobility vehicle on our website

Over its 31 years of trading, Southern Mobility Centres has prided itself on ensuring, as far as possible, that the products it sells are suitable for the customers, their homes and the environment in which the products are to be used.

To this end

As a result of this policy, any mobility vehicle sold by Southern Mobility Centres (with the exception of boot transportable mobility vehicles) is subject to a free of charge home demonstration prior to purchase. However, understandably, depending on where you are in the Country, this will not always be possible.

The main reasons we recommend a home demonstration are:

  • To check access to the customer’s property
  • To check the physical space where the vehicle is to be kept
  • To check if appropriate charging facilities are present or can be made available
  • To check if the vehicle is suitable for the customer’s needs
  • To check it is suitable for the environment in which the vehicle is going to be used.

If you have checked the above and are happy that you do not require a home demonstration (or fall out of our home demonstration area), there are Terms and Conditions that must be brought to your attention.

By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you understand that there is no right to refund should you decide not to have a home demonstration or if you fall out of our home demo area if:

  • The vehicle is unable to access the property
  • The vehicle is too big for the available storage space and/ or causes a nuisance to others
  • The vehicle does not have access to the appropriate charging facilities
  • The vehicle does not perform in the environment where it is being used.
