Parafricta fabric is smoother than silk, tougher than nylon, yet easy to launder - properties which make it ideal for use in preventing the development of bedsores and for protecting wound dressings.
Parafricta Fabric products’ unique performance characteristics contribute to the avoidance of pressure sores and the retention of chronic wound dressings when made into garments such as bootees, undergarments, bedsheets and pillowcases.
The low friction properties of Parafricta Fabric will also enable products to be developed for Patient Moving and Handling in the near future.
Parafricta Bed Sheet
The fitted Parafricta Bedsheet provides protection to areas of the body, legs and feet where the skin is compromised or wound dressings may be lost due to fiction. This bottom bedsheet is fitted and designed for a standard single bed mattress.
Parafricta Pillowcase
The Parafricta Pillowcase provides protection against further trauma where the skin on the face, ears or head is compromised or wound dressings may be lost due to friction.
Parafricta Bootee
The Parafricta Bootee protects wound dressings on the foot, especially the heel, and against skin breakdown due to friction and trauma. The use of Velcro straps mean the bootee is easy to put on but stays securely in place.
Parafricta Undergarments
The Parafricta Undergarment can be opened fully, allowing it to be slipped under the body and then closed using the velcro closures.
Parafricta Fabric protects wound dressings and skin in the sacral and hip area from trauma due to friction and shear.
